LOGO Redesign
CLIENT
Built in the early 60s with expansive views of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Museum Row, and Fairmount Park, The Philadelphian contains over 700 luxury condo units. Mid-Century design atheistic abounds throughout the common spaces of this stunning residential building, and residents include academics, judiciary, artists, and retirees.
PROJECT
With the launch of a new website, the Philadelphian Home Owners Association was in need of a new logo that was web friendly and could be used in a variety of configurations. The previous logo (bottom left) was felt to be muddy and non-versatile. The new logo incorporates the Joan of Arc statue found in front of the building in a more modern and detailed fashion. Joan faces right in the new version, looking toward the future. The new font choice, of a clean, varied weight serif, retains the classic feel of the old while bringing it into the twenty-first century.
